Dr. Martín Nieto Pérez has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana awarded in 1997. Fulbright Scholar for postgraduate studies in the period 1998-2000, support with which he obtained master’s degrees (2001) and doctorate (2004) in Nuclear Engineering, both from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He was a postdoctoral associate at the Argonne National Laboratory of the United States Department of Energy from 2004 to 2006. Since 2008 he has been a full professor at the National Polytechnic Institute attached to the Querétaro Unit Center for Research in Applied Science and Advanced Technology. He has been a member of the National System of Researchers since 2007. Awarded the Research Award at the IPN 2010 in the category of Young Researcher. He has more than 30 technical publications in international magazines and participation in academic and technological forums related to nuclear energy and applied physics both in Mexico and abroad.
