The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), President Richard Trumka, will file labor complaints against Mexico this month under the new U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement’s labor enforcement mechanism. This move seems to also be connected to the arrest and detention of Mexican labor attorney and activist Susana Prieto in Tamaulipas a few months ago.
